I’m just kicking the ball along here… I published my first blog post a couple of days ago and today I uploaded a couple of SoundCloud links on the SoundCloud links page. I thought while I’m on here I might add another blog post.
My most recent experience of songwriting was a tad disappointing – my second SoundCloud link is to a song I don’t like very much. It did help me familiarise myself with GarageBand a little, which is one of those things I’ve been meaning to do, but never quite get around to. Because who has time to do all of those things and write music and study music and try to get better at musical things and instruments, and also be someone who works and is a parent and partner. But I can really see how it could add some value to the songwriting experience.
Anyway, on the upside, that first link on the SoundCloud links page is to a song that I do really like. I don’t consider either of these songs entirely finished, but I enjoy the first one a lot better and felt like it captured my emotions a lot better.
